Arrival in Leipzig

Today we left Berlin behind to meet our host families in Leipzig. Before that, though, we spent a few more hours in the city. After breakfast we split, with some of us going to the stadium and some of us staying behind.
Those of us that didn't go to the stadium walked around, did some shopping, and got some coffee. (It was obvious what those at the stadium did: see the stadium.)
Our train left at three, but getting on was slightly difficult. First, our train wasn't listed, so we had to ask about it. Then, when it came time to board, we boarded the wrong car. This wasn't discovered by checking the tickets, though; when many of us were approached by people saying we were in their seats, we were quick to catch on. Luckily, we managed to pull through. We traveled for about two hours until we learned that we had three minutes to get off the train. Then, it was a mad dash to get suitcases and rush off the train once we got to the station. It took what felt like five seconds for us to get off with all of our luggage.
When we walked to the end of the platform, everyone was waiting for us, some with signs welcoming their partners.

I found my host family quickly and we went to get something to eat at the station. After that and a quick trip to a grocery store, we went back home. During our time in the station and our trip back, we discussed the events for the next few days. It was at this point that I realized how exciting our time in Leipzig was going to be; seeing our plans for the next few days just builds up the anticipation I have for what's to come. I can say with confidence that I'm very happy to be here.
