Back to school

Today it was back to school for everyone.  Our students helped lead some discussions on a variety of topics ranging from "Sports in the US" to "Life as a US teenager" in the English classes of grades 6-9 before we gathered in the school courtyard to receive instructions for the City Rally through Leipzig.

After our tour through the city and lunch we enjoyed a very warm welcome at the US Consulate and learned about the duties and mission of the US consular services here in Leipzig.  It was a wonderful reminder for all of us how instrumental intercultural understanding is for a positive and enduring relationships and partnerships between nations.
