This past weekend was a holiday weekend in Germany, so we did not go to school on Monday and the students all had the opportunity to spend time with their host families. Sunday was Handball Day - the last home game of the local Leipzig Bundesliga team in front of a packed arena - fun for everyone and the Leipzig team won:-)
Elena and her host family visited the Elbsandsteingebirge close to Dresden and the Czech Republic and spent the day hiking and enjoying the sights in the mountains.
Other students explored Leipzig and/ or enjoyed time at the lakes surrounding Leipzig.
